Choices Choices

Ever have one of those decisions that are hard to make because 1. You want to go and participate and 2. but you dont know if you are completely over the flu so you wont share it with others or catch and add to your own?

That is where we are. Our assembly is this weekend and even though we had the letter from the branch about staying home when sick, if your feeling better do you go or stay? How long do you wait until it is ok to attend?

This is a special assembly because it will be Nathan and Nina's last one as just a couple, plus she is looking so cute you just want to show her off to all of your friends. LoL something that she would rather I didnt do, probably because it embarresses her, not sure.

The next two days will be engrossed in thinking and praying onthe matter so we make the right decision. Dont want to miss out on a special spiritual meal, but then dont want to make anyone sick so that they miss out on thier spiritual meals either.

Choices Choices.........

Dinner was yummy last night and we all even had a glass of wine to enjoy with it. Its been so chilly and we have all been so yuck that we have been all bundling up together. Three people and a hairless pup sleeping under the electric blanket reminds me of when the girls were little, except the pup part. Louie just sleeps on his pillow and watches over all of us. Lol

Today we are going to plant the bulbs and maybe even deliver one to Nina's and Kims house to help wake up the spring in us all. Too bad they are poisenious, they are so pretty. Paperwhites and Amaryliss bulbs are gorgeous! Campbell will enjoy putting the potting mix in the pots, might even plant a bulb for his Mommy.

He came in this morning wearing his leather jacket and cowboy boots, so cute! Made some homemade hot chocolate for us to drink and warm us up at the same time.

Today I am making deer chili, very easy to make especially since the crockpot does all of the work!

Deer Chili

Ground Deer Meat, 1 pound
Pinto Beans, dry 2 cups
water

Chili Powder, Garlic Powder, Salt and pepper
Tomato Sauce, 1 large can

Rice

Place the dry beans and the deer meat into the crockpot and cook on low ( 8 hours will produce a tender yummy chili) Add your seasonings and fill with water.

After 7 hours, add the tomato sauce and check if more seasonings need to be added.

30 minutes before you are ready to serve cook rice.

Serve all and enjoy!

Laid out my blocks for Jamie's baby blanket and it looks like it will be just about 30 by 30 inches square. A nice size for a baby blanket!

Going to wash all of the fabric for her dress, the blanket lining (fleece) and Nina's fabric for her birth announcement.

Will be making the drawings for the coaster and towel exchange in my pin cushion swap this month. The towel is pretty much on hold until after this weekend, then we get our partners and can get busy creating. The coasters is a side swap and I have my ideas, but like my girls tell me, draw it out so you have a plan to follow.

Going to implement that little piece of wisdom this year!

Catch you later!

I hope your feeling better. The CDC has been saying that children can return to school when they have been free of fever for 24 hours. Kids are tough and can bounce back quickly. Adults usually drag a bit longer. Have a great time if you feel up to going.. Huggz, Darrell

    Thanks Darrell!

Wasnt feeling up to it, would get up and do a few things and feel sick at my stomach so I knew the assembly wouldnt be a go on that account.

Its just sad at how slow we heal nowadays. Cant wait for the time when we dont have to be sick at all.
